Quienes quieran completar su estancia con experiencias más dinámicas podrán elegir entre varias actividades complementarias:
- • Mountain excursions. From Espinaredo you can climb to the top of the highest
summit in the district (“Picu Vízcares”) or reach as far as the Redes National Park..
- • Mycology. Along the slopes of the Sueve Mountains or in the river Color valley you will find fine examples of edible mushrooms.
- • Landscape appreciation (including guide). With the intention of getting to know our rural communities in days gone by, and the evolution of our countryside up to the present day, we suggest landscape appreciation, by tackling urban, industrial or natural areas, wandering allow narrow “caleyas”, admiring impressive buildings, crossing rivers, reaching summits, visiting “hórreos” ...
- • Horse-riding (including horse and guide). The horse has always been a part of Asturian rural life and it´s no surprise that we have the native breed of horse known as the “Asturcón”. Either enjoying the mountains or discovering places in a different way, you can count on professional guidance.
- • Canoeing (included equipment). One of the landmarks of Asturias is our rivers. Their abundance reflects our wintry conditions, supplies different species of animal-life and vegetation, provides irrigation for agriculture and makes it possible, for example, to go salmon-fishing. For taking part in sporting activities, or finding another ways to get about or following in Olympic footsteps, you can paddle your own canoe down the river Sella itself.
